Overview
This Privacy Notice sets out how Sky Travel Pod, a company incorporated in the United States, collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. At Sky Travel Pod we realise and respect the importance of your privacy, and we are committed to the safety and protection of your personal information when you use our site and services. We will use your personal information to provide travel services to you. This notice reflects our obligations under applicable United States federal and state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, together with the privacy laws of other US states that grant consumers similar rights.
- Transparency: we've provided clarity regarding the information we collect from customers, visitors and business contacts, and how we process this information.
- Data control: we've described how you can access, correct or delete your personal information, and how you can opt out of marketing.
- Readability: we've written this policy in plain English so it's easier to understand.
Notice at collection — what we collect and why
We collect, use and disclose personal information to perform our duties as a travel agent, and for making and managing travel bookings on behalf of our customers. During the course of our relationship we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers and traveller basic info: title, full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- Government identifiers: passport number, date of birth, nationality and Known Traveler / Redress numbers, where required by the airline or destination. Some of this is treated as sensitive personal information under US state privacy laws.
- Commercial and payment information: card number, security code, expiry date and cardholder name. These are processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment partner; we never store full card numbers on our systems.
- Booking preferences: frequent flyer numbers, car rental programmes, seat and hotel preferences, where applicable.
- Dietary and accessibility requirements: any dietary requirement, disability or medical need we must relay to the airline in order to arrange your travel. This is sensitive personal information and we use it only for that purpose.
- Audio information: calls may be recorded for quality control and staff training. You will be told at the start of the call.
- Social media: when you interact with us via Facebook, X or Instagram you'll also be bound by their respective privacy policies.
- Internet and device activity: when you access our website our servers may record your IP address, browser type, referring site and approximate geographic location. We use approximate location to show prices in the right currency for your market.
We keep each category for the period described under How long do we keep it? below. By giving us your personal information, you confirm that it is accurate, truthful, complete and current, and that you have the authority to provide it to us.
How do we collect this information?
Sky Travel Pod will only collect personal information in compliance with applicable privacy laws. We usually collect your information from you directly. Collection typically occurs when you:
- Deal with us in person, by telephone, by letter or by email.
- Visit any of our websites.
- Connect with us via social media.
- Purchase or make enquiries about travel arrangements or other products and services.
- Enter competitions or register for promotions.
- Subscribe to receive marketing from us (e.g. e-newsletters).
- Request brochures or other information from us.
In some circumstances we may collect personal information about you from a third party — for example where a family member makes a group booking that includes you. Where this happens, we rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on your behalf.
How do we use your information?
We use the information described above for the following business purposes:
- To arrange, confirm, change and service the travel you have asked us to book.
- To take payment and to detect, investigate and prevent fraud and misuse of our services.
- To provide customer support, including responding to your calls, emails and complaints.
- To meet our legal, tax, accounting and aviation-regulatory obligations.
- To send you marketing about our services, where you have not opted out.
- To operate, secure, measure and improve our website and services.
When you book travel-related products and services through us, we act as an agent for the relevant travel service providers (e.g. airlines or hotels). We process your personal information so as to provide the services you requested, and disclose it to the travel service provider concerned so that they can deliver those services to you.
Who do we share your information with?
Sky Travel Pod may disclose your information to the following categories of recipient:
- Primary suppliers: airlines, hotels, tour operators, transfer providers, cruise lines, car rental and activity providers who fulfil your travel reservation.
- Service providers: the person making a reservation on your behalf, and the vendors we rely on for card processing, business analytics, communications and fraud prevention. They are contractually restricted to using your information only to perform services for us.
- Government authorities: where required by law, including the Advance Passenger Information and Secure Flight programmes operated by US Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Administration.
- Business partners: partners who have cooperated with us to supply a shared product or package. Where you ask us to book such a package, that partner may communicate with you directly by email, phone or post.
We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable state laws. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, including the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Because we do not sell or share, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out to operate — but you can still exercise every other right described below.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the state you live in, US state privacy laws give you some or all of the following rights over your personal information:
- Know and access: ask what personal information we hold about you, where we got it, why we use it and who we disclose it to, and request a copy.
- Correct: ask us to fix personal information that is inaccurate.
- Delete: ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to the records we are required to retain by law.
- Limit sensitive information: ask us to restrict our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to deliver the services you asked for.
- Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from our marketing at any time.
- Non-discrimination: we will never charge you a different price, or give you a lower standard of service, because you exercised a privacy right.
- Appeal: if we decline your request, you may ask us to reconsider. Several states give you a right to appeal and to contact your state Attorney General.
To exercise any of these rights, email bookings@skytravelpods.com or call +61 1800 920 514. We will verify your identity before acting — usually by matching the details you give us against an existing booking — and we will respond within the period the law allows, normally 45 days. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of their authority.
Marketing communications
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and we action opt-outs promptly in line with the CAN-SPAM Act. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about a booking you have made — booking confirmations, schedule changes and e-tickets — which we must still send you.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 except the traveller details an adult provides when booking travel for a minor. If you believe a child has given us information directly, contact us at bookings@skytravelpods.com and we will delete it.
How we protect your information
We want you to be confident about using Sky Travel Pod to process your flights, hotels and other travel reservations. We have imposed managerial, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information you give us. We encrypt highly sensitive data (e.g. card details) in transit between your device and our systems, and we use firewalls and intrusion-detection systems to prevent unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long do we keep it?
We retain booking records for as long as required by tax, accounting and aviation regulations, and for as long as needed to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Marketing data is kept only while you remain subscribed. Call recordings are kept for a limited period for quality and training purposes and then deleted.
Visitors from Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia
We advertise in several markets, and this notice is written to United States law. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Australia, your local data protection law may give you further rights — including to object to processing, to request portability of your data, and to complain to your national supervisory authority. Contact us at bookings@skytravelpods.com and we will honour those rights where they apply to you. Booking with us involves transferring your information to the United States and to the airlines and suppliers delivering your travel.

See our cookies policy for the categories of cookies we use and how to manage them.
Changes to this policy
Any changes to our collection or use of information will be posted on this page. If we make any material changes that affect how we use your information, we will also email subscribed users notifying them of the changes.
